You are Unique

Some people will refuse to accept you for who you are. Always choose to be true to yourself, even at the risk of incurring ridicule from others, rather than being fake and incurring the pain and confusion of trying to be someone you’re not. When you are comfortable in your skin, not everyone in this world will like you, and that’s okay. Remember, you could be the ripest, juiciest apple in the world, and there’s going to be someone out there who hates apples. It is what is it is, don’t worry about what others think so much.

  शायद नवमीं या दशवीं कक्षा की बात होगी। पता नहीं पर काफ़ी समय बीत गया जब ये कविता पढ़ी थी। कुछ वक्त पहले ये दोबारा पढ़ने का मौका मिला। "बसन्ती हवा" का असर इन वर्षों में कम नहीं हुआ है। वहीं बसन्ती हवा आपके समक्ष फिर ला रहा हूँ। आशा करता हूँ कि कुछ यादें तो आप की भी ताज़ा हो ही जायेंगी। कविता के कुछ पंक्तियों को समझने का दोबारा प्रयास किया है। "बसन्ती हवा" के दो पद्य अर्थ सहित: चढ़ी पेड़ महुआ, थपाथप मचाया; गिरी धम्म से फिर, चढ़ी आम ऊपर, उसे भी झकोरा, किया कान में 'कू', उतरकर भगी मैं, हरे खेत पहुँची - वहाँ, गेंहुँओं में लहर खूब मारी। अर्थ: महुआ के पौधे की डालियाँ काफ़ी सख्त होती हैं। कवि कहता है कि हवा पेड़ पर इधर-उधर कूदती फ़ाँदती है किन्तु कुछ भी प्राप्त न होने पर नीचे गिर जाती है। फिर वो आम के पेड़ पर जाती है जो महुआ से नरम पेड़ है। किन्तु तभी कोई उसे पुकारता है और वो आम के पेड़ को छोड़ कर खेतों में चली जाती है। यदि महुआ के वृक्ष को लक्ष्य समझा जाये तो कवि कहता है कि हवा ने अपने लक्ष्य को पाने का अथक प्रयास किया किन्तु असफ़ल रही। फिर वो उस कठ
